YOU HAVE TO COME TO THE TASTING ROOM TO TRY (AND BUY) THESE WINES

Memorial Day weekend is here, many of our winery members hold promotions, and several wineries that are typically by-appointment-only during the year open their doors to the public for this weekend that traditionally kicks off our summer.

To that end, we wanted to remind our customers that there are many wines in the AVA for you to experience, swirl, sip (and repeat) and, of course, buy that you’ll only find in the winery’s tasting room. That is, these are wines that are not sold to restaurants, bottle shops or other outlets – they’re only sold direct to the public from the tasting room. Typically made in small batches, these are wines that are often dear to the hearts of their winemakers and can also make for terrific finds and buys.

They include many of our signature Pinot Noirs, but also can include Chardonnay, sparkling wines, Rosés and other varietals. But you’ll only get to try them if you come to the tasting room!

Some members, like Jay McDonald of EIEIO, pointed out that ALL of their wines are only sold direct as a regular aspect of their business. For others, we polled our members, and several responded with these great offerings:
