Saffron Fields Vineyard
(503) 662-5324
Saffron Fields Vineyard is situated on Laughlin Road in the heart of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA in the north Willamette Valley, home to world class Oregon Pinot Noir. Saffron Fields Vineyard is a passion project years in the making. Owners Sanjeev Lahoti and Angela Summers have created a new kind of tasting room – one where sense of place meets art, design, winemaking and hospitality. The facility features a well-curated fine art collection, a Japanese garden, as well as expertly crafted wines. Winemakers Tony Rynders and Chris Berg, both well-regarded veterans of the Willamette Valley’s wine industry, produce the estate wines and are already receiving excellent reviews.

The vineyard is comprised of four distinct soil types – Belpine, Willakenzie, Rickreall and Steiwer – which are shallow, coarse-grained, ancient marine sedimentary soils, among the oldest in the Willamette valley, over sandstone and siltstone, that drain quickly, making them ideal for viticulture.
The vineyard is dry farmed with sustainable farming practices. Our estate grown Pinot Noir is a true expression of the vineyard, and reflects a natural purity of fruit specific to our site with its characteristic intensity of blackberry, cola, and black currant flavors and well-integrated, supple tannins.
Pinot Noir – Pommard, 777, 115, Wädenswil Chardonnay – Clones 76, 548
The property is approximately 90 acres. Currently we have 24 acres planted with a combination of Pinot Noir Clones and 2 acres of Chardonnay. We plan to plant an additional 10-15 acres over the next few years.
All fruit is estate grown.
