Marsh Vineyards

The vineyard was planted in 2007 with half of the vineyard in one year old vines and the remaining on root stock of that year.
On a knoll with south, east and north east facing slopes Marsh Estate Vineyard is at an elevation that ranges from 258 feet to 320 ft. The vineyard is on sedimentary soils with 8 variations of soil types ranging from Willakenzie to Hazelair. The vines are on Riparia Gloire root stock and the vineyard is 100% irrigated from two wells on the property. The vineyard is Live Certified and the vineyard also has 14 acres of meadow land which is used to graze sheep.
21 acres are planted in pinot noir with Dijon clones 115 and 114 as well as Pommard and Wadensvil. There are approximately 2 acres of Chardonnay planted with Dijon clone 95.
The vineyard has approximately 23 acres planted in grapes.
