What began simply as a way to “get back to the land” after a decades long departure from ranching roots in Colorado, MonksGate Vineyard has become the heart-and-soul expression of the Moore Family’s devotion to responsible farming and the crafting of premium wines. MonksGate Vineyard is located on a 50-acre farm near Carlton, the heart of Oregon wine country in the Willamette Valley. Experience a flight of the current release Estate wines while gazing at the historic barn or enjoying a view of the Coastal mountain range from the comfy adirondack chairs on the lawn. The Moore family farms the property and oversees the winemaking process and are sure to meet you in the tasting room during your visit. Focusing on Pinot Noir, Rosé and Riesling, the wines are critically acclaimed and a true voice of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA.
