Tasting with a view at Penner-Ash Wine Cellars

While almost every Yamhill-Carlton winery offers views, we’ve picked a few below that we think are truly outstanding, where you’ll see sweeping valley views, be immersed in the vineyard, or be able to see Oregon’s Coast Range or the Cascades in the distance.

At Fairsing Vineyard, enjoy views of the family forests around the vineyard and stay for sunset to witness the gorgeous colors on the leaves. You can see the Coast Range in the distance, as well as ocean fog rolling in in the evening. Walk the winery’s outdoor labyrinth and admire Big Doug, the winery’s old growth Douglas fir that stands tall beside the tasting room.

Penner-Ash Wine Cellars offers multiple tasting rooms and experiences with different flights. The tasting rooms face east, offering expansive views of the Chehalem Valley, Cascade Mountains, and the sparkling summit of Mt. Hood in the distance. Savor the view while you sip on Estate Pinot Noirs grown in the vineyard you’re gazing over.

Lemelson Vineyards was founded in 1999 after the estate vineyards had a few years to grow. With organically farmed vines and a sustainable, gravity-flow winery, Lemelson crafts beautiful Pinot Noirs with the future in mind. Take in views of the vineyard right across the street, the Coast Range mountains in the distance and the magnificent stand of Douglas Firs directly adjacent to the winery. With three levels of outdoor seating and places for picnic blankets in the summer, Lemelson is the place to visit on a nice day!

Anne Amie Vineyards’ tasting room is situated to the west and sits on top of a beautifully sloping vineyard. Enjoy this tasting room in the summer when huge patio umbrellas and plenty of space offer you a luxurious arrangement that feels like a private villa. Anne Amie offers more white grapes than most Yamhill-Carlton vineyards, with estate Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris. Looking at Tillamook State Forest and the foothills of the Coast Ranges, stay until sunset for a remarkably open sky.

There are too many extraordinary views to see in one day, but you can take a look at all our wineries with vineyard views on this page.
